Nerds on Quads blog is finally up

Posted: August 13, 2010 in The Journey

Plans are swinging into action, and what was once a simple idea has almost become a reality. Through the coming weeks we’ll be keeping you up to date with our plans and preparations for the Quads for Quads drive, a 900 kilometre journey across South Africa on a quad bike. Then, on 30 September 2010, we’ll be posting live from the road as we head from the small coastal town of Ballito to the urban sprawl of Johannesburg. The Quads for Quads is organised by Family Adventures, in support of QASA (Quadpara Association of South Africa).

If you thought driving that far on a quad bike was crazy, you’ll be pleased to know that one of the riders is in a wheelchair and has limited use of his hands. Phil will be making the journey in a specially modified Quad Bike, proving that what many people call a disability is merely an obstacle that can be overcome with courage and effort.
